I've been sitting up in bed for some time now... listening to my ipod and just praying to God that it'll understand that it is after one in the morning and it'll play nothing but slow jams.

It's a long shot but for the last fifteen mins, my Ipod has been doing a pretty good job! Playing Corinne Bailey Rae's, "Another Rainy Day", Jazmine Sullivan's "Round Midnight", and one of my favorites... LAURYN HILL'S "Adam Lives in Theory"

There is so much you can learn from the lyrics on these talented Songstress'...But my lesson came from Ms. Hill, herself, because as I follow her lyrics via AZ Lyrics, I can only find myself taking mental notes.

What's the biggest lesson I've learned on this ...uneventfully, long night?

In our 20s we have a tendency to crave for everything all at once. We think it is the only way to live. We avoid though, sorting through events and how they have made us feel thus ending up on the moon with no gravity...nothing to ground us. How do we get back to earth without E.T. phoning home for us?

GOALS: 2011

I have "trained" myself to no longer believe in New Year Resolutions and being that my New Year technically wasn't a new year at all, I must say I can only hope that much gets done within the few months before I graduate. But let me repeat; they are NOT resolutions. Just goals. So don't get it twisted.

As inspired by Afropuffs I have delved back into the pool of protection where it concerns my hair. So here are my goals...as they only concern myself:

• Wear consecutive protective styles
• Focus on less manipulation but longer lasting!
• Don't clips ends till June
• Stop shampooing so often! (Do it maybe every 3 wks for real, dilute the rest out of the month)
• Get a weaker formula. The ApHogee just seems packed with protein and my strands don't seem to like it too much. 
• I'm interested--very interested in the Giovanni Cosmetics line! 
• No heat! Especially with the hot months coming soon!
• Be more gentle... WAY MORE GENTLE! lol

As for my own goals, I finally found a lot of missing puzzle pieces in my "happiness". As stated, this year was just another day to me so I'm going to start focusing on my happiness. And that will include:

• Getting an entry level internship/job in the publishing industry
• Having a lunch, dinner date with myself, at least once a month
• Not caring what others do. Do me
• Don't persuade myself that doing something out of bounds is right
• Eat better
• Work out regularly
• Stay on track with the school work I have left
• Don't slack on attention
• LEAVE MEN ALONE. If they want me, they'll find me but I wont be a bitch either. None of that "play hard to get horsecrap". Just don't feen--like I have done before.
